Core OT’s experienced occupational therapists conduct comprehensive home modification assessments across Brisbane. We visit your home to identify barriers to safe independent living and recommend modifications that will improve your safety, accessibility, and quality of life.

What Are Home Modifications?

Home modifications are structural or equipment changes made to your home to make it safer and more accessible. These range from minor adjustments like grab rails and ramps to major structural changes such as bathroom modifications, widened doorways, and hoist installations.

NDIS-Funded Home Modifications

Home modifications can be funded through your NDIS plan under Capital – Assistive Technology and Home Modifications. Core OT will assess your needs, provide a written report and recommendations, and liaise with your NDIS planner or support coordinator to support approval of the modifications.

Our OT will visit your home, assess your functional needs and the current environment, consult with you and your family, and prepare a detailed report with specific recommendations. We can also work with builders and tradespeople to ensure modifications are implemented correctly.
