Occupational Therapy Fees – NDIS, DVA and Private
Core OT’s fees follow the NDIS price limits. Our team of occupational therapists and allied health assistants comes to your home, school or community across Brisbane North, Moreton Bay, Carindale and Logan, and we give you a written quote before any assessment or therapy starts. We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, DVA clients, Support at Home clients and private clients. We are not able to see NDIA-managed participants.

How payment works
- Plan-managed NDIS – we invoice your plan manager directly.
- Self-managed NDIS – we invoice you, and you claim from your NDIS plan.
- DVA – a GP referral (D0904) is needed before we start.
- Support at Home – services are arranged through your Support at Home provider; ask your care partner to refer you.
- Private – no referral needed; you receive a quote before the first visit.
Frequently asked questions about OT fees
How much does an occupational therapist cost per hour?
Core OT charges the NDIS price limit for occupational therapy, currently $193.99 per hour. DVA and private clients pay the same rate.
How much does a Functional Capacity Assessment cost?
An FCA usually takes 12–15 hours of OT time, so about $2,330–$2,910 plus travel. See our FCA page for what is included.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes. Because we are a mobile service, travel is charged in line with NDIS guidelines. We include it in your quote.
Is occupational therapy covered by the NDIS?
Yes. OT is funded under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living. Core OT works with self-managed and plan-managed participants.
What do allied health assistants cost?
Allied health assistant sessions are charged at the NDIS price limit for therapy assistants, which is lower than the OT rate. Your OT sets the program and the AHA delivers it between OT sessions, which helps your therapy funding go further.
Will I get a quote first?
Yes. You or your plan manager receive a written quote with the estimated hours before we start.
